Celebrating our first gig back with Live & Unreleased

In July we returned to the Churchill Theatre in Bromley for our first showcase and gig since the pandemic. Our Live & Unreleased Night was a fantastic way to celebrate the local talent on show from an array of artists and bands.

Young people from across Bromley performed original and unreleased music live on stage, ranging from pop to drill and jazz. The night kicked off with Ramfunk, a funk and blues band hailing from the Brit school. Fools by Design followed up with an impressive acoustic set, and then our Bromley Academy group performed two original songs, coached by their music leaders James and Naomi.

Next up, a group of young people from Jus B community centre shared three of their original rap, r&b and drill tracks that they’d been working on with our music leaders Damien and Barbara.

It was great to spot some familiar faces on stage, too, with alumni ArtsTrain member Luke Harland-Cole bringing a selection of ‘sad-happy bops’ acoustic songs to the evening, and Emily Tran performing ethereal electronic and jazz-inspired pop.

Finally Langley Park Boys School’s indie rock band The Deletes closed out the night with an energetic set, getting plenty of audience members involved in their choruses.

Thanks to all the artists who were involved for making such a memorable night for our first Live & Unreleased show, and to our enthusiastic audience members, too!
