Our projects in the community are co-designed to meet the needs of each community or group we are working with. Over the last 10 years we have worked with around 80 different community groups and organisations across the region. ArtsTrain is particularly interested in creating partnerships that provide access for groups of young people who have limited access to music-making.

We support young people in the criminal justice system, young people with social and behavioural difficulties, looked after children, unaccompanied asylum seekers and young people with complex and profound disabilities.

Our community projects aim to celebrate the individual in a fully-inclusive environment. Our experienced Music Leaders use games, music and creativity as a tool for connecting people, developing communication and building self-confidence.

If you are interested in developing a community partnership please get in touch artstrain@mytimeactive.co.uk

Working in groups develops the children & young people’s social skills, as well as music skills and enables them to access high quality creative provision which otherwise, and often due to their disabilities they would not have the opportunity to access. In both projects CASPA has done with ArtsTrain the professionals have been phenomenal, passionate and collaborative.

Take a look behind the scenes of an exciting project with award winning creative music programme ArtsTrain and the amazing autism charity CASPA. The project explored the sounds of London and provided creative opportunities for the group to write their own original music.
