ArtsTrain has a dedicated team of specialist Music Leaders that design and deliver creative, fun and educational workshops to meet the needs of your school and students.

We run a range of one-day, half-day, weekly and extra-curricular workshops to stimulate creativity and develop transferrable skills. Each project involves participants working together to write and/or record original music.

Our flexible approach means that we are able to provide bespoke workshops and projects in secondary schools, Colleges, Pupil Referral Units, SEN/D Schools, Virtual Schools and Youth Offending Services.

While all of our projects develop both musical skills and well-being, the outcomes and activities for each project are based on the needs and experiences of each group.

Projects for groups of young people with SEN/D might focus more on the development of personal, social and emotional skills whilst projects with musically experienced young people might focus on creativity, collaboration and performance as the main outcomes. Music Leaders are matched to projects based on their individual skills and suitability for each setting.

Music helps me express myself, get stuff off my mind and manage my anger.

The opportunities you have provided for our students have given them the skills and experiences that will stay with them the rest of their lives.

This space is really nice like it helps you improve your teamwork and social life and helps you interact with others you don’t really interact with. I am really grateful for that.

This is the only after school club I have ever done and it’s probably one of the best decisions I’ve made. I love it a lot.

ArtsTrain delivered a 10 week project in partnership with London South East Colleges in Bexley providing their SEND learners an opportunity to create their own music.
