Live on stage - Highlights from ArtsTrain: Amplified Sessions
Our Autumn term 2025 programme, Amplified Sessions, brought together musicians aged 13-17 from across Bromley and Bexley. In bands, they collaborated, writing and rehearsing their original songs, as they worked towards live performances at two renowned South London venues.
Our bands were offered their first gig opportunity at Horniman Museum and Gardens as part of their Museum Lates event - Pattern Up!
It was an incredible night full of energy, creativity, and talent - a celebration of youth voice, with amazing music and dance performances from youth groups across London.
Our programme Amplified Sessions then came to a close in late November with our ArtsTrain showcase at Hootananny Brixton!
Our Amplified Sessions bands took to the stage, performing an impressive set of songs they had been working on over the past 10 weeks. We also had a brilliant performance from local emerging band, Laminated Daydream.

The showcase also saw some of our alumni return, with stunning solo performances from Sabina Vavatu, Evie Wilcox and Noel Chambers, all of whom had been part of our Academy programmes once upon a time.
The night was high in energy and hosted by Dan Ademola, a former alumni from our Bexley Academy programme.
“I genuinely enjoy hosting because it keeps me connected to music and I can give back to a community and charity that played a massive part on my journey into adulthood!”
It was an incredible night of talent and an amazing way to celebrate the ArtsTrain community, musicians and artists past and present!
“I saw people come out of their shells – like mini rockstars – lots of the young people took the opportunity whilst on stage to show who they really were. The young people got more comfortable on stage and out of their shells, which I think is what this project is all about.”
“My favourite thing was that we all got to share our own personal ideas and experiences through the songs… I learnt how to communicate better and share my ideas – with the lyrics but also on stage”
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us and helped make the ArtsTrain showcase such an unforgettable evening. We’re incredibly grateful to all our supporters and to everyone who generously donated.

A massive thank you to our partners - Lewisham Music, The Exchange Erith, Churchill Theatre, Bromley Youth Music Trust, Horniman Museum and Gardens, and Hootananny Brixton - for providing opportunities for our young people to create and perform.
